Group Decision Making

Group decision making can be really frustrating, especially under time constraints. On Monday’s class, I was so worried that we couldn’t get anything done since my grade wasn’t satisfied. To get a unanimous decision among 80 students in the class could be so difficult, because there are many different philosophies for different people. And yet they could easily come to a conflict between one and other.
I took an accommodation approach which is seeing issue more important to others than self. I chose to go with the majority. Personally, I hate essays, but I saw so many people are just fine with essays or I should say they prefer essays. I am not going to fight for it, and as long as we are getting some bonus points, I am fine with every decision that we have come out with... I am not going to be mad since the whole class discussion is a great opportunity offered by professor.

yes, i agreed with you for the essay part, although i didnt want to keep the essay, there are more people want the essay part, and we just chose to follow them. As long as i could get some point out of our discussion, that's fine for me.

I was one of the people that didn't mind the essay, and I thank you for not opposing it. However, even if the class swayed the other way and decided to remove the essay section, I would have done what you did and accomodated. When it all comes down to it, any sort of gain would still be a gain, so we shouldn't complain.
