Time management is crucial, but it is not an easy work. I don’t know how many times I had sat down and made a schedule for myself which always end up as just plans on piece of paper. There are 168 hours a week, and only 18 hours of school. Where are the rest 150 hours? I always tell myself that if I can use the time more efficiently, life won’t be as difficult as it is now, and my future will be in a better image.
8 hours of sleep is consider standard for everybody, and that is 56 hours for a week (when school starts, I never get this much of sleep). 3hours for transportation is required in New York City that is another 21 hours for the week (I am so jealous for people who can do their works or readings on the subway, for me that is the time to relax, because my mind doesn’t operate during this time). Subtract the 20 hours for the part time work; I have still 50 hours which means 7 hours a day. Where did they go: study for the class, gather together with friends, attend the organization, go to church and help the Sunday school? It seems a lot of thing for me to do, but I just don’t see how I can have time to waste. In fact, I wasted most of my free time. In this point I don’t consider myself as good manager.

Little Introduction
Hi! Everyone in my management class! Nice to meet you all this semester!
My name is Huaiyi Chen( or Erin). I am junior at Baruch College pursuing Accounting Major and Mathematic Minor. As a little child, I have imagined myself having a successful career in a business world. By coming to America, I thought it is a big forward step towards to my dream, but life is not that easy at all.
Even though, accounting is not what I am interested the most, it is one of the biggest advantages to attend Baruch College which I can’t miss. And I was convinced that accounting is the strongest basic for future business. So that is why I am here…
After accounting, I will definitely continue my study on International Business or Finance.
( plus tonight is Chinese New Year Eve, happy holiday to all, wish you a wonderful year)
