Holding a positive vision is like having a right direction for a driver in order to get to the destination. What should be the right destination for me? When I was small, my parents told me that education is the only path towards the bright future, and I believed in it. For the past few years, I found out that education is not the only path; in fact, it wouldn’t even guarantee any thing. In this competitive society, successful people are those who know what they want, and fight for them---have a clear vision for their life. After last week’s class, I spent a week to think what are my visions for my life that I almost forgot. Become rich since so obvious, but it should not be one of my vision because it was just a dream of mine without any action.
For the short term, I want to graduate on May 2009 and pass the CPA exam within a year. But accountant is not what I want to do in the future. I will go to graduate school for finance, and hopefully I can finish it within four years while working as a full time. After that, I think I will work for ten years to save money. My real dream is to own a small cafĂ© shop with my loved one and have simplest life. At this point, I want to be rich, to go around the world and help out the poor, to see the different world, try my best to help for a better world…

Group Decision Making
Group decision making can be really frustrating, especially under time constraints. On Monday’s class, I was so worried that we couldn’t get anything done since my grade wasn’t satisfied. To get a unanimous decision among 80 students in the class could be so difficult, because there are many different philosophies for different people. And yet they could easily come to a conflict between one and other.
I took an accommodation approach which is seeing issue more important to others than self. I chose to go with the majority. Personally, I hate essays, but I saw so many people are just fine with essays or I should say they prefer essays. I am not going to fight for it, and as long as we are getting some bonus points, I am fine with every decision that we have come out with... I am not going to be mad since the whole class discussion is a great opportunity offered by professor.

An Eggs-cellent --class activity
It was fun, definitely was one of the most interesting classes I have taken, even though our group didn’t success in the end. Our “YoYo” was cracked, but I enjoyed the whole process of planning.
First, our professor set the goal and objectives for us---we need to drop a raw egg from 10 feet height without a crack. In other word, we need to protect the egg by using the limited resource--- 8 straws and 2feet of tape. There was only 10 minutes to build our contraction.
Second, we assigned five of our group members with different positions: dropping egg, holding tape, running for scissor, 2 for building the contraction. For the step 3, we developed different strategies, which was the crucial for part towards the result. The first image came to our mind was triangle which we believe is the most stable shape. But we were not sure if we could make a stable triangle out of straws, so we made another alternative. For the second plan, we decide to cut those straws and wrap the egg which could prevent egg get touch with floor directly. Without resources in hand, it was really difficult for us to know which plan could work better.
For the last step, we put our plan into action. We failed with our first plan, and went directly to second one. But in the end, we didn’t work out as what we have planned. Time went so fast, we just tried our best. After watching other groups’ successes, I think there are smarter people.
